Father Kase Clearey could trace his family back beyond the dawn of history when the O'Cleareys were the Antiquarians or keepers-of-history, one of the three ruling Druid classes. He's joined by Sister Maria "Nikki" Gateaux, of a secret heretical Order called the Albigensians, believed extinct since the 1200's when they were burned at the stake as Witches by the Inquisition. I'll bet you didn't know that the "heresy" of the Albigensians was they taught democracy. Several independent nation states in southern France threatened to spread this "disease" all over the continent. So the feudal warlords coerced the Church to ban their teachings. A civil war ensued, and when a few Albigensians survived the Church initiated the Inquisition to excise them completely from the genetic pool of humanity. Rated PG13 for some light sexuality.
